How to Create Estimates 🧮


Open Cubicon Home Screen and tap New estimate

Now let’s fill out the Add estimate form. 

  1. Edit the default estimate number, if necessary.
  2. Keep the displayed estimate issue date, or adjust the issue date, if necessary. 
  3. Select the estimate terms or just leave No due date. 
  4. Tap Add client and choose who the estimate is for. 

    In case the client is new, tap +Add new client.  

    • Fill out the Add client form. 
    • Import client details from your Contacts, if this is applicable. 
    • Tap Save. 
  1. Tap Add item and choose the product or service you’re estimating. 

    Enter the quantity of units you will be giving an estimate for, and tap Save.  

    Need to add a new service or product? Tap +Add new item

Fill out the Add item form by entering: 

    • the name of the product or service you’re estimating
    • its description (optionally) 
    • its unit of measurement (piece, hour, etc) 
    • the cost per unit, and 
    • the quantity you will be giving an estimate for.

Deactivate the Taxable toggle button if tax should not be applied to this item.  

Tap Discount to add a discount to this particular item. Tap Save.

Tap Save. 

  1. Tap Payment instructions, to enter or update your payment details. You can always manage your default payment instructions in Settings -> Business Settings -> Payments.
  2. Use the Note block to add any comment for your client. 
  3. Tap Attachments to add any image or photo to your invoice.
  4. Use the More menu to access additional estimate settings:
    • Activate or deactivate your signature display on the estimate 
    • Change the currency of the estimate 
  1. Want to offer a discount? Tap Add Discount

    Enter the value of discount (in currency or in %). Tap Apply. 

  2. You can also set up the tax. Tap Add Tax.

    Enter the tax value (in %), and choose the tax rate format: 

    • Exclusive rate - The total amount does not include taxes, they are added on top.
    • Inclusive rate - The total amount already includes taxes.   

      Review your estimate and make sure everything is correct. Tap Save. 

WELL DONE! 🌟 The estimate is created and is ready to use. 

  1. Tap Send to send the estimate by email, share it through other apps, or print. 

You can also mark the estimate as sent, or edit the estimate.
